Our Story

We started beqom in 2009 with a mission. A mission to make all the people of the world’s largest enterprises happy with our compensation solution.

In 2007, while working at SAP, we realized a huge gap in the enterprise software market. Companies like SAP and their customers were not able to automate their compensation processes across one integrated solution.

Most large organizations leverage compensation as a strategic differentiator, yet they still manage compensation on spreadsheets or dated custom built solutions. This is when we realized we were facing the biggest market opportunity we had ever seen during our careers, which led to the creation of beqom.

Today, we manage compensation for over 120 large enterprises across the globe - in individual terms that’s about 3 million people that have their compensation managed by beqom.

Why beqom

Our mission is to make your people happy, because employee happiness is the best driver for success.

But happiness doesn’t come from paying your employees more money…It comes from making sure they understand:

  • The company direction
  • The link between their individual goals and the overall company strategy
  • How they are rewarded and recognized for achieving these goals and if it is fair

Fabio’s main objective is to make the people at beqom happy. He drives the company strategy and makes sure everyone understands it and is equipped to contribute to it. If the people at beqom are happy, we significantly increase our chances to make you and your people happy.

Coming from SAP, Fabio spent his career creating, marketing and implementing innovative enterprise software in North America, Europe and Asia.

To help you make your people happy, we need a clean, efficient and self sustaining organization. Brad’s role is to be sure that we have the finance, the people and processes to offer you the best experience with us and be an easy organization to do business with.

Brad brings 20 years of experience in senior finance positions at technology companies including EDS, Hewlett Packard, HPE, and DXC Technology.

Stephan Pohl COO

Stephan puts all of his passion for perfection in creating the best operations to make your people happy. His team is in charge of the development of our platform, in constant interaction with our customers and the market and he is also in charge of our worldwide sales organization.

Coming from SAP, where he spent 12 years, Stephan has a deep experience of large software organization, allowing him also to effectively manage our relationship with Microsoft.

Sébastien Baehni CTO

To ensure the happiness of your people, they must have the best possible experience with the product we deliver. Seb’s role is to make sure that the beqom product operates at the highest quality; lightning-fast, always available, and a delight to use. To make that happen, he relies on beqom’s solid product engineering organization and makes use of the latest technologies and efficient methodologies on the market.

Seb brings 15 years of experience in software engineering. His last role was at Nexthink, where he helped to grow the engineering from 10 to 100 people while making more than 1000 customers happy in using the product.

Mike Deleonardis

Mike DeLeonardis President North America

Mike brings 20 years of experience managing enterprise cloud software and service businesses and will be responsible for overseeing beqom’s North American field organization. Mike has spent his career building and maintaining high growth businesses focused on enterprise technology both in the US and globally, holding positions at Xactly Corporation, smartShift Technologies, Inforte and Arcadia Solutions.

Mike will use his considerable experience in enterprise software sales for SaaS solutions to drive revenue growth for beqom’s compensation platform through new business as well as expanding within the current customer base.

Vismay Gada Head of Customer Success

As beqom Head of Customer Success, Vismay Gada works to implement beqom’s software to deliver maximum value throughout every step of the customer journey. Vismay joined beqom in 2018, bringing 15 years of experience in the industry, most recently at First Republic Bank where he was the Head of Compensation.

Prior, he worked in multiple roles supporting compensation strategy, executive compensation, operations and systems, as a Director at Credit Suisse, and also in management consulting and audit positions. He brings solid compensation domain expertise in financial services and beyond with a key focus on transformation strategy, compensation design and execution, and process re-engineering.
