From Policy to Practice: What’s Happening Since the EU Directive Went Live, With beqom & Mercer

Every fair pay leader knows that policy doesn't stop at a deadline.
The EU Pay Transparency Directive's transposition deadline passed on 7th June — but the picture across Europe is far from uniform. Only a handful of member states have fully transposed, while many have announced delays, and others have barely started.
In this on-demand session, Hayley Bakker (beqom) and Lucye Provera (Mercer) map where things actually stand, what the right to information under Article 7 is already surfacing in transposed markets, and what employers in delayed jurisdictions should be doing in the meantime — because employee expectations aren't waiting for national law to catch up.
What you will learn:
- The state of transposition across Europe: Which member states are live, which have stalled, and what's driving the delays, from legal compatibility challenges to political transitions.
- How to navigate delayed transposition: What your obligations are, and aren't, in countries where national law hasn't yet followed, and the reputational risk of waiting.
- What Article 7 looks like in practice: How the right to information is landing in markets where it's already enforceable, what requests are revealing about pay gap readiness, and how to respond with confidence.
- Common approaches and gaps: What organizations across Europe are getting right, where the gaps keep appearing, and what good preparation looks like.
