Adecco Group Launches beqom Solution while Fully Remote

The world's largest human resources provider and temporary staffing firm, The Adecco Group, planned to replace its compensation management system before its 2020 salary review cycle. What it didn’t plan on was implementing and launching the solution while the project team and the company worked remotely.

With more than 5,200 branches in more than 60 countries and territories around the world, The Adecco group needed an intuitive and efficient total rewards portal for HR, managers and employees. In the summer of 2019, the company began a search for a new compensation management system with a goal of launching the new platform by February 2020, in time for the annual salary review process. What the team didn’t know was that they would implement and launch the solution while working from home.

“At that time,” remembers Romain Debroize, Compensation and Benefits Manager at The Adecco Group, France, “we didn't imagine that we would be confined [due to COVID-19] and forced to run the project completely remotely.”

Working with Polarys, Adecco selected beqom to manage its global salary review and variable compensation processes. The project team was dispersed remotely from the start, with limited face-to-face interaction.

“We naturally had some concerns about working remotely, the inertia it can sometimes engender, but in hindsight, the entire project team was very efficient,” says Debroize. “We have met all our objectives.”

Fortunately, the selection of beqom’s cloud-based SaaS compensation management software enabled the company to administer and run its salary review process on schedule, despite HR and managers working remotely. Throughout the salary review process, the beqom solution has not overloaded or saturated the Adecco infrastructure, which is very much in demand in this period of remote connection.

“Today [in April 2020], we are in the midst of lockdown AND in the middle of an HR review period. Our platform works perfectly even when working remotely and is totally secure!” remarked Romain Debroize, Compensation and Benefits Manager at The Adecco Group, France. “In a context such as the current pandemic, it is a good sign for our group to be able to hold its salary review process to be ready for the post-lockdown rebound.”
